About
With a population of some 1.7 million people and its location bordering London, Essex faces huge pressure from development.
There has probably never been a more critical time for the Essex branch of CPRE to stand up for this county’s environment – and we are determined to ensure this most diverse of counties remains such a special place in which to live.
We are not against all building and are among the first to highlight the importance of people having homes and places to work. With the subject of housing rarely out of today’s headlines, our approach to this contentious issue is: ‘Right homes in the right places’.
