Advice day will focus on rural crime

Make that call... you have options

It has been described as one of the countryside’s biggest growth industries, but rural crime is no laughing matter for those afflicted by it.
The issue is being brought into focus at an advice day being held this month near Braintree at which you can get crime-prevention advice and information from Essex Police and exhibitors.
Security products will be on show, while relevant policing departments, partners and farming organisations will be present. CCTV, access control, equine advice, drones and very much more… no stone will be left unturned.
The event, on Wednesday, November 14 (10am-3pm), is being hosted by Slamseys Farm, Blackley Lane, Great Notley, Braintree, CM77 7QW.
It is free to attend and there is parking on site.
For information, call 101 and ask for Essex Police; then ask to speak to the Essex Watch Liaison Office.

  • One of the most distressing rural crimes is hare-coursing and Essex Police are asking for us all to watch out for the criminals involved in this repugnant activity.
The force are targeting coursing across the county through Operation Galileo and requesting that anyone who witnesses it phone 101, 999 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
