Our Lovely Essex: the (sometimes) hidden beauty of bluebells

The bluebells in our glorious Essex woodlands are now starting to fade, or ‘go over’, so we’d better move quickly to include this selection of images from John and Helen Bloxsome in Our Lovely Essex.
John’s words offers a perfect example of people getting to know their local area a little better during lockdown:
‘‘We did not know until a few days ago that we had these beautiful bluebells so close to us. We walked there in beautiful sun first thing this morning.’’

  • Feel the joy! If you would like to follow John’s example and spread some cheer across Essex, please send your images, stories or experiences to dmairs@cpre-essex.org.uk
