AGM is a winner from start to finish

What a picture! The CPRE Essex AGM is always a special event.

A healthy turnout of 23 people gathered for CPRE Essex’s Annual General Meeting.
Always a thoroughly enjoyable event, this year’s AGM was held on Saturday, October 4, in the delightful setting of the Assembly Rooms in Dedham, a town so attractive that it draws thousands of visitors every year to savour its special charms.
And several of those present for our meeting took the opportunity to wander around the town’s Munnings Art Museum and savour the extraordinary views from St Mary’s Church.
As for the event itself, retiring chairman Petra Ward gave an illuminating report on what our branch had been doing over the past year, while guest speaker Paul Gallifant, editor of the Dedham Vale Society newsletter, gave an illustrated talk on Dedham Vale through the Seasons.
Finally, everyone had the chance to tuck into delicious refreshments. It had been quite the afternoon!
