“Fourteen years ago, we wished it would stop raining! The Olympic Torch passed down Saffron Walden high street and I was asked to get some pictures for the local paper.

“My first thought was keeping dry, so I talked myself into an upstairs window and watched the whole thing from the comfort of an armchair. No good getting older if you are no wiser…”
