Theydon Bois meeting will highlight possible mineral plan

As already reported, Essex County Council has begun consultation on its next minerals plan.
When that ends, on Tuesday, March 19, the county council will review the proposed sites before publishing a shortlist before final selection.
The county has a statutory duty to bring forward sites for mineral extraction and it is proposed the next plan will run from 2025-40.
Theydon Mount Parish Council will be objecting to the adoption of Site A 63 at Abridge as a preferred site and is stressing that local people lodge their own views with the county council.
To inform people further about what could be proposed at Abridge and how to make personal representation, the parish council has set up a public meeting at Theydon Bois village hall this week, on Wednesday (March 6), at 8pm.
