Time to relax and celebrate after a year to remember

Well, what a year that was!
Things by and large returned to some kind of normality after the extraordinary events of the Covid-19 pandemic, meaning for example that we were able to meet in person at the AGM, while the development onslaught revved up again to keep us all more than busy.
Perhaps the most memorable feature of the year, though, was the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Essex Way, the beautiful 81-mile walk from Epping to Harwich that our organisation had been so instrumental in bringing about.
Groups across the county got involved and set up a range of events; for our part we ran a photographic competition to highlight the delights of a very special long-distance walk. The response was excellent and you can see the results elsewhere on this website (see the Essex Way tab at the top of the home page).
So it’s time to thank all those involved with the competition – and indeed everyone who played a part in the increasingly important activities of CPRE Essex during 2022.
Members, supporters and helpers alike – we salute you and wish you a very, very happy Christmas!
